The Eighteenth Convocation Programme Report of Dhyanavana.

March 19, the eighteenth Convocation of Dhyanavana Annual Diploma and certificate courses held at the Dhyanavana premises. Most Rev. Dr. Thomas A. Vazhapilly Bishop of Mysore presided over the function. Very Rev. Charles Serrao ocd Provincial of Karnataka – Goa Province and President of Dhyanavana institute was the chief guest. Prof. A. S. Dasan Ph. D, Director of Tap – me Academy, Mysore delivered the convocation Address.

The day began with thanksgiving prayer to the Almighty God for his marvelous blessings on the institution, staff and on students. At 11:30 A. M. Rev. Fr. Charles Serrao officiated the Eucharistic celebration by solemnizing the feast of St. Joseph, the Spouse of the Bl. Virgin Mary. Rev. Fr. Silvestre D Souza councilor in charge of Spirituality preached the homily whereby he highlighted the values of St. Joseph. After the Eucharistic celebration Fr. Provincial distributed the thesis to our students and congratulated them for their hard work and research.

The eighteenth convocation programme began at 6:00 P.M. by invoking God’s blessings through a prayer dance. Fr. Canute Tauro welcomed the gathering; Fr. Dominic Vas Director of the Institute presented annual report of the institute. A. S. Dasan delivered the convocation address. He presented various challenges faced by priests and religious sisters in the present milieu. So he invited the gathering to witness the gospel values in the world amidst the challenges. He emphasized the only way out is to work united, for seeking justice, and to affirm our rights in the country. Then the students presented the colorful dance. Fr. Provincial released the Dhyanavana Souvenir and addressed the gathering. Rev. Dr. Thomas A. Vazhapilly Bishop of Mysore released the new book titled “Seek and you will Find” written by Rev. Dr. Rudolf V. D Souza. Before releasing Rev. Fr. Silvestre gave a concise introduction about the book. After that Bishop conferred the Diploma Certificates to 53 student’s sisters and gave presidential address. He emphasized on living true spirituality in our day today lives. Convocation programme came to an end by singing Dhyanavana Anthem. Sr. Jincy Matthew SJB and Sr. Vijo Arul Selvi CFMSS compered the programme.
